On a hot August night in 1968, I was looking skyward into the vast depth of space. As I gazed into sky, the creation of the universe tried to reveal itself to me. Billions of galaxies each with billions of stars and planets formed from the nothingness. A miracle so vast, it's beyond the imagination of mankind.

But as I wondered how this universe could have started, an interloper revealed himself. A point of orange-red light traveling at immense speed stopped all at once. Hovering motionless in the background of stars it was undetectable to the casual observer.

Then as if struck by God's own pool cue, the visitor was propelled into a perfect three rail bank shot. Each leg hundreds of miles distant, changing course at acute angles in an instant and finally accelerating into the blackness punctuated only by specks of ancient light.

Don't you?

What is the nature of the visitors to our small, out-of-the-way planet? Earth is far from the center of the Milky Way and has no significance other than it's our home. We generate tremendous electromagnetic radiation, but it pales compared to other celestial bodies, such as a quasar.

Yet we have seen hundreds of reports of unidentified flying objects, each with marked similarities. Is this coincidence? Is it a hoax or government program? Or even perhaps a foreign government's program. Or could there really be visitors from distant worlds?

Have they solved the time-space continuum puzzle, being able to travel both in time and distance? Are they just curious, or do they have designs on some natural resource they have exhausted? Of course, it's most likely a reason of which we have never thought. Perhaps we'll never know.
